Accessibility means access to information without limits as a result of any form of disability.
Here in the Ministerio de Empleo y Seguridad Social we have developed this website bearing in mind those people who have visual, hearing or mobility impairments, together with those people who might have difficulty with reading or understanding, who cannot use a keyboard or mouse, who have a text-only browser, a small screen or a slow connection.
It is our belief that accessibility is not only of interest to people with disabilities, but that it improves access to the website in general. This website has therefore been created from the point of view of the user, minimising the time it takes for a page to load, and concentrating on textual information rather than the use of images.
This website has received WCAG validation (WEBSITE CONTENT ACCESSIBILITY GUIDELINES). WCAG is a tool for analysing the information and degree of accessibility of a website.
All the pages of www.empleo.gob.es meet the priority 1 and 2 verification criteria defined in Website Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 (WCAG 1.0) of the Web Accessibility Initiative Web (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
On date 2006/03/27 the ONCE Foundation has audited our website, and certifies its AA level compliance with WCAG Guidelines 1.0 of the W3C-WAI.
The Ministry is fully committed to extending this level of accessibility to all the websites belonging to its Units and Entities. The information and structure of the tens of thousands of pages of these websites, some of which were created over ten years ago, make it impossible to modify all the pages simultaneously. As a result, accessibility measures will be incorporated progressively, as each page is redesigned.
Keyboard shortcuts have been defined to make browsing easier. The options available through key combinations are the following:
La combinación de teclas para utilizar los atajos de teclado depende de la versión de su navegador y del sistema operativo. Por favor, consulte la ayuda de ambos para hacer uso de los mismos.
Date of last verification of accessibility: 20/10/2011. Every page of this site accessibility will be reviewed before publication on the Internet.
