    An excellent opportunity to join the Modern Foreign Languages Dept. at St Julian's School as a Teacher of Spanish.

    St Julian's is a thriving, over-subscribed comprehensive school that has an excellent reputation within the local community as a result of quality teaching and constructive support for students. We are a large secondary school with around 1,600 students currently on roll.

    We are looking to appoint a well-qualified, experienced and committed linguist to join St Julian's School, as a Spanish Maternity Cover. Starting on Monday 17th December 2017 until Friday 20th July 2018.

    You will be an excellent teacher who can lead by example and develop enthusiastic, inquisitive and independent learners who love languages as much as you do. In addition, you will be equally as enthusiastic about driving up standards.

    We require a forward-thinking teaching professional to join the MFL Department as a Teacher of Spanish. The successful candidate will be required to teach Key Stage 3-5 Spanish and also Key Stage 3 French. Experience in teaching A-Level Spanish is essential.

    The MFL Department at St Julian's is a hugely successful department with outstanding numbers opting for GCSE Spanish and French. The language results at GCSE and A Level are amongst the highest in the school for Spanish and for the last two years have met or exceeded national averages.

As part of the interview process, candidates will be expected to teach a lesson, which will be observed. In addition, candidates will be given an admin task and a formal interview.
